RIBOFLAVIN TASTE MASKING GRANULES

Vitamin B2 orange-yellow crystals, soluble in water to a limited degree and insoluble in fat-solvents. It is heat-stable in neutral and acid media, but sensitive to light, unstable in alkaline solutions, stands ordinary cooking and canning. Vitamin B2 commonly known as riboflavin is a water soluble flavin that belongs to the vitamin B family. Riboflavin is a precursor of the coenzymes flavin mononucleotide (FMN) and flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD). Along with different food sources, Vitamin B2 is also produced by bacteria in limited amounts. Vitamin B2 plays an important role in the absorption of other vitamins and hence its deficiency can lead to various health issues and alters daily body function. Riboflavin is found mostly in meat and fortified foods but also in some nuts and green vegetables.
