Zinc sulfate is the inorganic compound with the formula ZnSO4 and historically known as white vitriol .Zinc is an essential mineral needed by the body for good health and wellbeing. In general, acidic salts, like zinc sulfate, are soluble in water. Zinc Sulfate is a moderately water and acid soluble Zinc source for uses compatible with sulfates. Sulfate compounds are salts or esters of sulfuric acid formed by replacing one or both of the hydrogens with a metal. Zinc Sulfate is odourless and has a white powder appearance. Zinc Sulfate is non-combustible and soluble in water. It emits toxic fumes of zinc oxide and Sulphur oxides during decomposition. It is widely used in the prevention and treatment of zinc deficiency. Zinc sulfate is used to treat zinc shortages and avoid them.
